Mold
Remover
Mold remover can be found on many
shelves in any store, in any location. Why? Because there is a huge
multi-billion dollar industry built around the fact that mold is such a
problem for everyone. Ever hear of J&J, P&G??
Not all mold removers are created equal. But before you get into using
any of the various mold removers, let's start with the basic process
for cleaning up mold. If it's a large area - and it usually is if you
are on this site - then you need to isolate that area from the rest of
the house by building a plastic tent with walls, ceiling and floor. Put
it all together with duct tape and hopefully vent it through a window
outside.
Once you have isolation, you will want to don the appropriate personal
protective gear which you can find on the EPA's web site. Then before
the mold remover, you want to demolish everything that is infected,
place it in bags, then begin with the mold remover.
After using the mold remover everywhere within the containment, clean
the outside of the trash bags too. Place those trash bags into 'clean'
plastic bags and remove them. Use the mold remover on the inside of the
containment, then dismantle the containment and throw it away outside.
At this point you may think it's safe, but this is the point where
reinfection easily takes place. I teach my readers to employ a DIY

US Military to decontaminate everything from people to equipment. You
mix the two parts together 50-50 and fog the entire area and sometimes
the entire home with it. This stuff stays active for 18 hours and kills
mold, bacteria, virus and even things like Anthrax. You stay away for
24 hours, then come back and clean up the residue. That will give you a
mold remover that completes the kill!
