Fungus
Mold
Fungus mold nearly repeating
yourself. Here's "Webster's Dictionary" definitions:
Fungus - any of a major group (Fungi) of
saprophytic and parasitic lower
plants that lack chlorophyll and include molds, rusts,
mildews,
smuts, mushrooms, and yeasts.
Mold - a superficial often woolly
growth produced on damp or decaying
organic matter or on living organisms.
A fungus (as of the order
Mucorales) that produces mold.
What does it all mean? Mold and fungus are nearly one of the same. They
both help break down decaying organic matter. They can both grow on
living organisms (Athlete's Foot). The both can become a severe source
of irritation with odor and especially with their attack on the immune
system.
Fungus mold should be cleaned up immediately upon detection. You should
also find the moisture source and cut it off completely. The biggest
control we have is to remove the moisture to stop mold from growing.
Fungus mold will lie dormant like grass does all winter until it
receives the moisture it needs to thrive again, so clean up is
important. In "How to Get Rid of Black Mold" I go into detail about how
to eliminate mold from your life and the same holds true for fungus.
